Having a break at the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast...you like it or you dont. I must say there are a few things that i am not a fan of Gold Coast, however the positives outweigh the negatives.

The atmosphere is so different than up in Brisbane and it also feels like i am someplace else.
I haven't been down the Gold Coast for a long time ahh about 8 months ago. The last time I went to the Gold Coast was with my family during the June Long weekend on Labour Day. We stayed at Blue Waters Apartment @ Labrador/Southport area. It was really lovely. We also went to the Dinner & Show @ Australian Outback near Movieworld & the other show, Ray my brother n I watched Zingara @ Jupiter's Casino. It was a nice break from Brisbane and Redcliffe, despite the weather being raining most of the time down the coast. Anyway back to my previous....

Andy & I stayed at the coast from saturday 21st feb - Tuesday 24th feb. We stayed @ Labrador in an Apartment called - Sandcastles on Broadwater. It is a really good place to stay and wasn't too bad location. Esp when he had uni to go 2 on Monday morning.

Went to the coast as the 2009 Good Vibrations music festival was held @ the Parklands, Southport. The Line up were Fat Boy Slim, The Presets, Yelle, Kid Kenobi w. MC and many more. It was such a spectacular day and night and boy oh boy it was even exciting dancing in the torrential rain while Fat Boy Slim was playin'

I was smart enough to actually wear Gumboots. My feet were not brown and dirty from the mud...BUT once it rained...my feet were saturated from the water INSIDE my boots lol. I can never win hahaha.

At the end of the festival, parts of the parkland was flooded more like knee deep and of course some people took photos of them/their friends being silly in the water while others tried to avoid it on the way to the exit (and i say Andy & I were the ones Avoiding it!)

The next day Andy, Neil, Alicia & I went for a late breakfast/ brunch @ Aqua on Marine Parade, overlooking the waters & Sea World. Very relaxing to chill out with a couple of friends and had ice cream afterwards.
Then the rest was spending time w/ Andy.

All in all i enjoyed my stay down the coast. I really didn't want to go back home because of the sun, sand, beach and the whole atmosphere of being on a 'holiday' regardless it was short-break. I am even contemplating on going down the coast again for my next annual leave break (which is may/june). Somewhere to go besides staying home like i did the last time. *sigh*

Adios

Whoa Michelle Pheiffer's so young, pretty n thin in Scarface!

I am sitting in front of the tv, watching Scarface starring Al Pacino. My gosh al pacino in his early years is HOT! Bahahaha. The scene when Tony Montana was being interrogated by the police his mannerism reminded me of someone :P

i like gangster/mafia movies. when i first read and watched the godfather i fell in love with it.I even did a speech in legal studies on organised crime n i got a good mark on it. well back to mafias they intrigue me what they do that is illegal et al. The Godfather and now Scarface i personally see are classic movies.

Speaking of Michelle Phieffer i didn't even realise she was in Scarface. Nowadays shes like 50+ and she's still the same person.

Yes i am finally watching Scarface the fact that a few people have quoted or talk about tony montana etc...that i decided to watch it. And yes i am liking it.

I was planning on bowling with Wendy et al then Byblos but i am just staying home chilling out. I didnt get much sleep last night prior to night shift.

Well I'm going to continue my movie.

Adios...
